Northern Central holds Meeting and Elections at Rush Fire Department
Sun. Sep 20th 2020

The Rush Volunteer Fire Department hosted the September 20th meeting of the Northern Central Volunteer Firemen's Association. Due to COVID regulations, the meeting was held in the truck bay to allow appropriate spacing. A short legislative program was presented. Due to COVID-19, elections had been delayed until this meeting. Elected at the meeting were Stew Bell, President; Steve Grandusky, 1st Vice President, Marvin Tryon, 2nd Vice President; Dorothy Orr, Secretary; Dave Sweet, Financial Secretary; Treasurer, Bonnie Sweet.  FASNY Past President Ken Pienkowski swore in Stew Bell as President. Following that, he swore in the remaining officers. Difficult decisions had to be made in light of COVID-19. One was to cancel the annual banquet normally held in October since attendance would exceed New York State regulations. It is hoped that by June of 2021, a Convention will be able to be held.

The Ladies Auxiliary of Northern Central also met in Rush, enjoying the regular meeting room space.

Following both meetings, a packaged meal was enjoyed. Members had a choice of roast beef and provolone, ham and swiss, or turkey and American cheese subs, chips, cookie and soda or water.
